Subject: A Flashlight Idea

Dear Energizer Flashlight Development Team,

I have an idea that is a bit out of the box. Please don’t automatically reject it like all the other companies.

Being in the flashlight business, you’ve probably heard the tired old expression, “Shed Light, Not Heat”. Well, there’s another side to that argument; heat is a great motivator, especially when negotiating a deal, let me tell you.

My idea is to make a flashlight with a standard LED bulb for situations needing illumination. However, in situations needing “motivation”, a user could flip a switch and send a ray of invisible radiation to the person on the other side of the table. (Don’t worry; “radiation” is just another word for light. UV light, for example, is used in tanning beds and is perfectly legal in most states. The sun even emits radiation for about half the day, so therefore it’s completely “natural”.)

Well, I can attest that just the right amount of focused and invisible “light” can cause enough “heat” to make the other side squirm during a political debate. It would be like shining a miniature microwave oven on the opposition. They would be red-faced, literally! Think about the size of the market; you could sell a zillion.

I’m optimistic your engineers can work out the technical details.

I am not asking for any compensation for my idea and you are free to use it if you want, with no strings attached.

Best wishes,

Tommy
